Hi guys, my name is Daniel and I'm new here 🙂
I discovered arduinos and electronics only about a year and a half ago, but have since had the opportunity to play a lot with them and even have been teaching with them a fair bit!
This summer I will be taking on an ambitious project to build a 4 joint humanoid robot. It would be pretty straight forward, except that it will be rather large and will need to withstand quite some force for me to be able to do some acrobatics with it. I'm looking forward to the challenge, but now that I am not all stressed out yet I'm preparing by looking for resources that can help me once I get stuck, which brings me here.
I'm looking forward to get to know you all, and hope I can contribute to your challenges too!

@hapiel - Welcome to the forum. I believe you will find plenty of resources here. I know I do. I wish you luck with your project and look forward to your posts discussing your project and/or asking questions about hurdles you reach.

Welcome to the forum, I hope you have fun here and find this forum useful.
Your humanoid robot project seems really interesting, it would be nice if you gave us more information on it.
You can also find some nice humanoid (but not only!) robots with their design process on James Bruton's channel if you want to.
Moving on to another topic: how old are you?
Most people here on the forum seem to be older than 60, though I'm an exception.

Yes, I'm familiar with James Bruton's channel, I certainly look closely at it for inspiration!
As for my age, if most people here indeed are 60+ then I must be relatively young. I'm only about half that, haha.
I'm looking forward to give more details about my project soon, but will do so in a subforum that is more appropriate for this than the introduction channel 🙂
