Hey everyone. Just wanted to say hello and a little about myself.

I'm originally from Tulsa OK and I'm currently living in Wichita KS.

I work as a systems engineer in the aerospace industry, focusing on electrical harnesses but I've been working on other aircraft systems lately.

My hobbies are primarily related to film and television prop replicas. These often include electronics, which is what has brought me here.

I've got a few replicas in the pipeline with electronics:

The simplest is probably the safe cracker from the James Bond film "You Only Live Twice" which involves an input button, a piezo buzzer, a microprocessor and some 5mm incandescent 12v bulbs powered through some mosfets.

The most complex is probably the control and display system for my Jurassic Park Tour Vehicle replica. At a high level I want it to take input from a touchscreen on a vintage CRT monitor and use a raspberry pi to display an interactive tour program. It's way more complicated than that, so I'll start a Project Corner topic.

Some of my other hobbies/maker skills are 3d modeling, 3d printing, CNC routing/milling, silicone mold making with resin casting, metal investment casting, and photography.

Anyway, I'm super happy to be here and look forward to learning a ton, as well as hopefully helping others learn.
