I am very familiar in my personal life with the autistic spectrum from mild to extreme. It is very hard for "normals" to understand as they assume they can just "act normal" if they wanted. If that was the case they would be like that to start with. Unlike a physical difference it is hidden in the wiring of the brain. A few people I notice are very tolerant and seem to have an instinctive understanding the other person is doing their best but sometimes fall short in a social interaction and punish them for it. It is like punishing someone with a broken leg for not walking properly.

The abc had it as one of the subjects in a series called "you can't ask that". Although I watched it on tv in this link you have to sign in.

I should have been more patient, it was not that important. There have been other cases though when I had a solution or at least a next step and can see the member on-line but no activity after a fair wait. Is it possible to have a nudge feature? I do understand the need for a waiting period, it is just darn frustrating when I have to wait seemingly forever (I am on the autistic spectrum and do suffer from impatience). I hope you leave the PM feature in place, we do need it from time to time. I will do my very best to be more patient in the future.

I really have no intention of embarrassing you, buy I am amazed that you can't figure it out!

You can just do what everyone else in this situation does, just PM either myself or Steve (codecage) and ask us to email him with your contact information. I must have done this at least a dozen times.

It may eventually be the only way to do this, after your tirade and the crude remark from FrogAndToad (who is now banned BTW) I'm seriously considering not paying to renew the license for the PM feature, which expires this weekend. That would remove the PM feature entirely, thus resolving the problem!

Without the 10 posts a member has no way to deliver a sensitive/private piece of information like an email address to a new member. Would it not make sense to at least allow experienced members to SEND PM's to new members while still maintaining the 10 post limit on new members sending. That way I can give him an alternate communications channel for whatever reason while preventing the new member from possibly misbehaving.
