Welcome - I've transitioned to C# for professional work - but C++ is familiar from years gone by. Nice to have you with us, and yeh - I need to get some of those new fangled 32 bit microcontrollers at some point, lol.

First computer 1959. Retired from my own computer company 2004.
Hardware - Expert in 1401, and 360, fairly knowledge in PC plus numerous MPU's and MCU's
Major Languages - Machine language, 360 Macro Assembler, Intel Assembler, PL/I and PL1, Pascal, Basic, C plus numerous job control and scripting languages.
Sure you can learn to be a programmer, it will take the same amount of time for me to learn to be a Doctor.

Welcome to the forum @roger..many talented people on here to assist you with what ever you may have a question on.. I'm a retired industrial instrumentation/electrical and system automation technician.. Worked in process control and have some knowledge of OOP , but for industrial applications using DCS, PLC's, DAQ, and stand alone MPU's used to control industrial processes (Temperature, level, flow, pressure..etc.).. Learning C++ now, It's great to meet so many talented people..
