hello forum members,
I recently signed up to the forum with the username Pivi, which is short for my name Piet de Visser.
I am a bit older (67) and recently started with a starter kit based on the Arduino Mega, which is the reason, I joined the forum.
I started my career as a radio-officer on the Dutch merchant navy. Beside radio communication the main task was maintenance and repair of electronic devices. I those days this was done on component level.
After 10 years sailing I changed jobs and started in the ICT.
Measurement and control technology has allways had my interest. Now I have the opportunity to learn this.

Welcome to the forum Pivi. I think age 67 makes you a youngster in this crowd 🙂 You should find lots of help and advice here.
Anything seems possible when you don't know what you're talking about.
