Hello everyone.

My name is Dávid I come from Slovakia I am 28 years old. Thank you Bill for joining you. I'm interested in Automation. I built a cnc plotter on wood this one is controlled by arduino + cncshield. I own a 3D ender 3 printer and I am currently involved in modeling and making toys for my sons. I've known Arduino for some time now, but I still feel like a total beginner. I don't speak English, I feel it as a disadvantage in my ears, but I want to be educated. I use google translator I want to ask you for leniency.

thank you and greet David

Hi I am Moe from Toronto,

I like to be part of the fiesta ignite around Electronics, you know that fuzzy feeling you get when your Embedded system, your creation work spectacularly.
I am an Electro-mechanical technologist. I am practicing with common small microprocessors and developing hardware and software for the IoT ecosystem. I've been following Bill's videos and I like them they are designed meticulously and informative. looking forward to seeing more in 3D-multi-camera cognitive system with R.Pi and ESP32 and also a mesh network with BLE.

Welcome to the Forum David!

Isn't it wonderful to live in an age where we have things like Google translator to make it so much easier to communicate with each other where we have so many different native languages.  I hope the translator works as well translating this into your native language as it did into English.  Is your native language Slovakian?  Is that the proper way to say it?

Again welcome, from Stone Mountain, Georgia.

Hello Everyone!

I'm Max, 38, from Montreal's south shore (Quebec Canada), been a geek my whole life.

Thanks Bill for everything you have done, including this forum. Your videos made my jump into the microcontroller world a lot easier.

I started with arduinos only recently (November 2020, needed a new hobby for some reason) ... and I fell down the rabbit hole.

A friend of mine had issues with a hand sanitizer dispenser that someone else was making at his company... I noticed the arduino nano in it .. and told myself I can certainly do better!

Which I did... but that came with a million more questions, and I rely on some assumptions now that I want to understand better... so having a place like this to try to formulate my questions and get an educated answer is a true gift.

Thanks everyone, I did read some of your intros, but wow .. was not expecting 54 (and counting) pages of intro here!!

Talk to you soon, Max.

Hi Max, welcome to the forum. Perhaps you could modify the soap dispenser with an ESP32 so that it could have a web-based status page to indicate when it was out of soap!

For some reason, after 40 years of building boxes, writing code, and dealing with clients, my mind said have look at what is available now. My Aruban buddy said, Look at the Raspberry PI. I feel like a real noob now. The videos are fantastic. I am having trouble with some things everybody should know. Very enlightening, very clear and fun. Dave from the Midwest USA

Hello everyone!!! 😀 😀 😀

I am a student of class 10. I have just started off with Arduino and have created some small projects using it. I am looking forward to learn new things and enjoy making cool stuff.

Hi there! Great to be aboard. I was a two way radio technician in vacuum tube days, an electro-mechanical telephone technician {Stromberg-Carlson XY) and many years of non-technical engineering for S-C and Nortel.

Today I am a model railroader in N scale.

@ncdavid

Welcome to a fellow N Scaler!

There is a splinter of a forum that deals with model railroading. I tried to attach a snip that shows the path but it came out so small as to be unreadable.

The primary forum is Technology and Other Things and the sub-forum is Post Your Model Railroads Here.

Hope you can find it.

Dennis

Actually, a much better place is in the section dedicated to model railroads!

@dronebot-workshop

Thanks Bill,

I was sent in another direction and somehow, my search for Model Railroads did not take me in the right direction. I appreciate your help 🙂

Greetings!

My name is Steve.  I'm from the Atlanta, GA area.  I hope to learn more about radio control with microcontrollers.  Specifically, I have an animatronic Black Knight from Monty Python currently controlled with two Lego Mindstorms NXT bricks via Bluetooth.  Its time to upgrade!

I am in the 501st Star Wars cosplay group and have built many other costumes as well.  I think integrating modern electronics to some of my costumes and props will be fun.  So far, they have all be "old school" with 555 timers, decade counters or analog controls from my youth.

For work, I run the R&D efforts for a plastic company and the engineering department at the manufacturing plant.  I have a ChemE degree and a EE degree.  I have done a few Arduino projects for lights, but that is really it.

Thanks,

Steve
