@jonnyr

I am planning on having a Master (for inside)...  and probably 2-3 (or more) remotes outside... in garden... one for an avocado tree, a grapefruit tree, and general area in the shade near read door...  Collecting data from all of them...  The Master to be able to display:  Last 4-5  hour readings of Temp and Humidity from remotes...  Setting alarms as required... Pressure and Date/time from master... Master to probably be Arduino UNO for memory

Working on it, using Circuito.io to see how small of a MCU I can use to do the job; currently thinking about the Arduino NANO....  maybe the Tiny...  (??)

It seems like ANOTHER great Video keeps popping up by Bill that detracts from this project and makes me want to DO OTHER PROJECTS TOO!!  The problem is, I cannot DO everything I want to do!!  It's overwhelming!  🙂

I want to make a Thermometer using a stepper motor & a DHT22 for temp. & humidity...  and actually it like the hand of a clock with an arrow pointing to the Temp...  and another one for Humidity...  No Biggy, but I thought it would be fun to Make & watch it move...

I can Dream, can't I?

Oh yeah....   🙂

Have Fun,
Joe Lyddon

Hey folks found DroneBot via YouTube.  I taught myself basic electronics 15-20 years ago scrounging from various sites that existed at the time, going to the library, buying books.  To have had DroneBot at the time would've made the task quicker and easier.  Ah well.  We work with what we've got. 🙂

I still consider myself a beginner as I still require going back to reference materials and there's a ton I don't know.

Signed up for the forums to get some help with an ac single phase motor I scrounged from a dead unit.  Will post about that in the appropriate thread.

Just wanted to say hey.

Jim

Hello. I'm learning about coding and electronic projects for me and the kids. Really enjoy the YouTube series.

I am interested mostly in Iot.

Liked the ESP-32 input already.

Would be interested in improving my knowledge of the nano 33 sense ble

Hi vi_nc!

Welcome aboard!

Yes, that ESP stuff is quite tempting and powerful...  I'm still with the Arduino UNO...  BUT, looking at the ESP stuff too...

Yep, TouTube is really nice...  You can search for just ANYTHING and get educated FAST!  LOVE IT!

Enjoy!

Hello All,

This is Imad from Arizona, I am studying Programming and Systems Analysis and my biggest dream is a bachelor in robotics, The content of DroneBot Workshop on Youtube is amazing and it was the reason why I am here, I have many questions in my mind I will post them at the right place soon, I love C and C++ and still I am kind of beginner in robotics, Bill's youtube videos helped me building my first robot and it was working fine, I would like to say that Bill is a well-educated person and has very valuable information and I appreciate the way how he goes straight to the point and covers any question in mind with all needed details.

Thanks.

@wolfsbane

Hi Imad, welcome to the forum!  Glad you've found the videos useful, and thanks for the kind words.

You should make a new post in the Other Robot Project section with a picture or two of the robot you've created. We'd love to see it.

😎

Bill

Hello Everyone: Long time Industrial electrician/automation tech. First time in working with pi and arduino boards...and the programming too. Every noob question that can be asked will probably originate from me.

I have programmed many a plc but using ladder, not structured text like C++, but I am enjoying the board experiments and pi set ups. My plant through out 7 raspberry pi zeros with cameras and other accessories. I was able to grab them all. 5 of them are wifi zeros. Several of the zeros had bad sd cards...but thats an easy fix.

I will appreciate any help along the way.

Thanks in advance

Torg
