Hi Everyone,

My name is Rich and live in Connecticut USA.  I’m 65 and semi retired from defense R&D.  I’ve had formal training in Electrical Engineering with Computer Science. In my early years, before college, my Uncle got me the bug into electronics and building Heath Kits.  I succeeded in learning and building a color TV back in the 70’s with all the associated test equipment that was required to test the TV.   After college I started working on digital design and programming work then got more into signal processing.  As the years past, I moved away from the nuts and bolts of building things.  When I retired I decided to take up golf.

Ever since I started to watch the DroneBot Workshop I started getting the itch into building something.  My goal is going to be a robot golf caddie to hold my clubs and follow me around when I walk the course.  I currently have a couple of used carts with 2 motors each and folding frames.   I’m interested in replacing the control boards or modifying with an Arduino or Raspberry Pi, dual motor control, learning more about near field sensing (10 feet or so) and remote control of the golf cart.

I've gotten a lot of valuable help from watching Bill's excellent DroneBot Workshop videos.  Bill not sure how you keep up with it all but much appreciated.

Thank you Bill for sharing your knowledge.

I have found this site very educational.

Kind regards Rich
