Hi, I'm Doug. I live in the Texas Hill Country and am 73 years old. I studied electronics when transistors were a thing and saw the first IC chip come to be. I am a hobbyist at best and have done SOME Arduino work on lighting circuits for model cars mostly. I'm slow at coding and continue to revert to references and instruction videos to get where I need to go so, in short, I'm slow and virtually unskilled. I'm here to learn. Thanks for having me.
Hi Doug, welcome. It's nice to know I'm not the only old, slow, virtually unskilled coder on the block. Likewise, every project I try starts with the code I wrote (or stole) during a youTube lesson for any given sensor or component. Then I just bludgeon it into submission until it does what I want it to do. I always get there in the end, even if my code does look like it was written be a toddler. Hope you enjoy this forum as much as I do. There's a wealth of expertise here, and an abundance of people who are very keen to help people like us out.
Have Fun
Mike

@zander Hey, thanks! Just got back on, been on vacation. From what right? I'm retired. Oh well, I've got a baby brother who is still doing computer program analysis for the state at 71 yrs. old. Seems to be allot of old guys out there still doing it.
Hi Doug!
