Hi, I'm HopWorks

Hello All, I'm Gary (Hop of HopWorks). I do not know a lot about anything, except for maybe computers, but I do know a little about a lot of things. I love to automate tasks using technology, to add options to end-user devices that were not included, and to DIY on tasks that I cannot find reasonably-priced end-user devices for. I have worked with a number of MCU's, SBC's, and sensor devices, in a number of languages. I love playing with graphic arts, with Blender, Fusion 360, Photoshop as my main playgrounds. I also love playing with video, but I am just recently exploring that. I would like to get comfortable with motion tracking, transitions, and encoding schemes, and writing python scripts to support that. I know quite a bit about MS Office tools, especially Excel. I love taking pictures and video, especially with my two drones. I LOVE flying my DJI Mini 3 and Mini 4 Pro. The only thing I hate is having to buy more SSD's to store all that footage on. 😀 

I also love wood working and getting better at it. I hope to learn to be proficient at welding in the near future. I have become somewhat of a handyman around the house and engines. I am fascinated by physics and mechanical engineering. I have a large collection of Maker Beam parts I love to build with.

I am an internet research freak, digging after anything I do not already know. I'm not so much of a social media presence since it takes to much time to express my singular opinion, unless my thoughts are solicited by someone I know.

I love plants, gardening, hydroponics, and landscaping.

I also love music! I play guitar, bass, keys, and have a working skillset working with DAWs, midi, sequencing, and filtering. 

I love Basketball, Baseball, Football, and Hockey. Teams, Suns, DBacks, Raiders, and USE to be Coyotes but I always like the Blackhawks.

I'm a huge Rush, Joe Bonamassa, Stevie Ray Vaughan, 60's-80's (period), list is too long to mention.

I love to fish and use to hunt until I decided I would rather shoot animals with a camera. 

My wife and I LOVE to travel!

I love Chicago, but found of the coast in Southern East Texas.

I love MOVIES and TV Shows! I'm a big fan of Marvel, and "The Expanse"! Star Trek, Star Wars, and very old movies. I live for a great western!

I love bike riding! And I love the outdoors.

I could go on and on, but there is very little I dislike really. Hate maybe, that's not on my like-list.
