Hi all, I am a total newbie to electronics and really interested in the Maker community.

I have been watching the Dronebot Workshop videos on youtube for a few months and then discovered the forum.
Hoping this will be a great place to gain more knowledge about electronics and share ideas for cool projects.

Thanks,

Darren

@cuznerdexter Welcome to the forum. Yes, sometimes we share, some are cool, but mostly it's about fixing others' errors, teaching, and bragging (some, not moi of course)

First computer 1959. Retired from my own computer company 2004.
Hardware - Expert in 1401, and 360, fairly knowledge in PC plus numerous MPU's and MCU's
Major Languages - Machine language, 360 Macro Assembler, Intel Assembler, PL/I and PL1, Pascal, Basic, C plus numerous job control and scripting languages.
Sure you can learn to be a programmer, it will take the same amount of time for me to learn to be a Doctor.

@cuznerdexter I have been coding for over 50 years and still make lot's of errors, the trick is to understand what the compiler is telling you (easier if ALL errors are reported), that takes at least a decade to get somewhat familiar with it.

Hello Darren and a warm welcome to the workshop.

Its always nice to have ambition and you seem to have an interesting journey plotted.

You'll find the workshop members always helpful and willing to share and express their views, so dont hold back and ask away if you get stumped.
