Hi Gary, welcome to the forum.

Arduino is a good place to start, very accessible and lots of examples and experienced members here to consult.

If you haven't already done so, download the Arduino IDE and start your journey.

Hi Ron

Thanks Iv installed the latest IDE and having some fun very basic.

The vid on ultrasonic sensor has inspired me to start the journey with Arduino I'm trying to use the A0221AU waterproof version with a code I downloaded but having difficulty

Hoping someone can help?

@gooseone Ok, when you run into a roadblock, start a topic in the appropriate forum. Just explain what you are attempting to do, what you expect the program to do and what it actually does. Include screen shots, do NOT try to paraphrase. Good luck.

First computer 1959. Retired from my own computer company 2004.
Hardware - Expert in 1401, and 360, fairly knowledge in PC plus numerous MPU's and MCU's
Major Languages - Machine language, 360 Macro Assembler, Intel Assembler, PL/I and PL1, Pascal, Basic, C plus numerous job control and scripting languages.
Sure you can learn to be a programmer, it will take the same amount of time for me to learn to be a Doctor.

@gooseone Asking a question like that is like asking how deep the ocean is 10 miles off shore from near my house.
