Hi everyone, Alex from South West UK introducing myself

Hi to everyone on the forum and thanks to Bill for adding me. I'm joining up as an almost total beginner to electronics, so please humour me as I don't know the jargon (though it seems to accumulate pretty fast). I'm a Project Manager (currently) by profession and though I love building things at home (usually from wood 'til now!), I'm no engineer or programmer. 

I'd like to learn more about using microcontrollers, specifically Arduinos and ESP32, in an IoT context and networking/sharing data between them. Here to pick up tips and benefit from others' experiences, also it would be good to see if there are any members living near me in the UK (I live in Thornbury, North of Bristol) for potential future project collaboration. Generally here to soak up some knowledge. Look forward to talking with you!
