I'm a 72 year old retired Financial Executive and have been playing around since I retired 10 years ago. I enjoy learning just about anything and can't conceive of getting bored. Life is short enough as it is.
I was diagnosed with ADHD the year I retired at 62 and was amazed how much easier it is to learn when you have continuity of thought. I was introduced to the electromagnetic spectrum six years ago when our son (mechanical engineer) earned three patents in optics and electrical engineering. He shared a ray tracing book that focused on the electromagnetic spectrum, and I was fascinated.
I set out to learn more about electricity and magnetism and was fortunate enough to come across Jeremy Fielding's website. Jeremy Fielding referred to The Drone Bot Workshop and I am hooked.
I'm amazed how detailed and thorough Bill presents each Video, Tutorial and Article. God Bless you man! I am able to follow along in spite of my novice abilities. Thank you for making me feel at home.
Simultaneously, if anyone knows of a like-minded site that teaches basic electronics, I would be interested to join that as well.
HI @rusch-mauzy, and welcome to the forum!
As you will probability notice, the forum has a variety of members with skill sets and expertise ranging from novice to expert. I think you will enjoy the forum, and all the help that members will be willing to share in your quest to learn more about electronics in general, and coding the amazing micro-processors that are available at relatively low cost. As for a site for electronics tutorials, there are many, but I've included a few for you to pursue:
https://www.electronics-tutorials.ws/,
https://www.circuitbread.com/tutorials/categories/electronic-basics
Again, Welcome!
Kind regards,
