Dronebotworkshop videos are the best! Makes the subject easy to learn. Being a ham operator you know quite a lot about wireless already. Even in something as small as an esp32 the principles are the same. Its an amazing chip/board. It is what I use all the time if my project uses wifi. I have a few nrf2401 around that i need to use up too. My only problem with the esp32 is the builtin antenna sometimes prevents getting data as fast as i need. I only use modules with external antennas now. Welcome to the forum!
