Many times I have seen the YouTube channel and thought: "Awesome, a channel dedicated to fiddling with electronics, computers and microprocessors".
I finally gathered the courage to become a member. I hope I can contribute to the community and ask my questions.

Even though I've been programming things from the age of 12 I never opened computers. They were boxes with captured magic that would escape if I opened it. Even though the programming side was logical and understandable to me.
Now I'm old and crazy enough I finally started studying the "magic" and discovered it's not really that difficult.

Let's go!

(Nope, I never know what to write for an introduction. Maybe I should let some LLM do it 😉 )
NB.: I'm not a native English speaker. Please forgive me if I use bent English.

@sandbender

Welcome to the forum, glad you said hello.

BTW, don’t worry about your “bent” English, it’s fine!!

Yeah, it’s all magic until you start taking a closer look and come to realize it’s not magic at all. Maybe a little daunting at first, but it all comes together in the end.

If you haven’t already, you’ll soon find there are many members on here with varying levels of expertise in both the hardware and software side of things. I’m certain any of them would be happy to answer any questions you might have or help with a hardware or software problem you run up against. Just post your query in the appropriate subject area (sub-forum).

Me, I’m an old (emphasis on “old”) tech guy that enjoys playing with microcontrollers and micro- processors (mainly Raspberry Pi’s and Picos). I dabble in programming a little bit. But, by no stretch of the imagination am I an expert at either (my tech days were spent in telecommunications - think satellites and 'earth stations'). But, it keeps the brain waves going.

So, welcome to the forum, hope you find it useful (I do!) and just ask away if you have a question.  Regards from Texas
