Hello from Switzerland

Hello everyone

I am Matt from Switzerland. I'm a software engineer and used to write a lot of code, mostly in C++, but also some PHP, Perl, Python, ... but I haven't programmed for at least 10 years now as I got more into management and such. Now that I am retired, I have time to do things that really interest me, which are 3D-printing, Robotics and VR. I bought a Prusa 3D printer in August 2020, learned some Fusion 360 and have gone through about 6 kgs of PLA since then - so much fun! Now I try to combine 3D printing with electronics, servos and so on and slowly getting into ROS, robotics and the other more demanding subjects, step by step. Thanks to the www and YouTube, there is so much quality content one can draw upon.
The project I am currently working on is a kinetic installation with hundreds of mirrors and micro servos that move independently and create some interesting visual patterns.
I was drawn to Bill's website because he covers much of the content I am interested in and I hope for an exchange of information and know-how with fellow enthusiasts.
