Hello,
I am Michel and I live in the South of France, in a small town on the seashore.
I retired last year, after having occupied 3 or 4 positions as Information System director in large international companies.
I have been in the Arduino world (Arduino IDE + Notepad++) for more than 15 years as hobbyist, and I progressively switch to the ESP32 world (with PlatformIO + Visual Studio code) for 2 main reasons:
-1-.my projects become more and more complex requiring both Bluetooth and WiFi: adding them to the Arduino boards is time consuming.
-2-.I need a more powerful and stable IDE than the Arduino IDE: for an unknown reason, I face too frequent problems in uploading with the Arduino IDE (1.8.19), whereas [PlatformIO+Visual Studio code] seems more stable and professional.
I am a beginner in the ESP32 and PlatformIO worlds, so this Forum looks promising to me.
I congratulate the Boss for his YouTube channel: it allowed me to discover PlatformIO and your tutorials are excellent.
