Hi all,
Thanks for accepting me in to this forum. I am completely new to this, never having built a robot before. For my first attempt I'll be building a kit robot that my good wife has purchased for me for Christmas 2022. I'll have to wait a while till then but will keep researching as I know I'll be wanting to make a "more advanced" one in the future. 😉
Good morning and welcome to the forum. I hope you enjoy your Christmas present early. 😊 Deferred gratification isn't what it's all cracked up to be.

Welcome to the forum.
What was the kit? My good wife bought me a vacuum cleaning robot last xmas because I always told her my robot will be able to clean the house if I ever finish it. Kind of missed the point of me wanting to build one in the first place because it was for me a fun project which was going to do more than vacuum and mop the tiles.
I have been working on an "advanced" robot for a long time 🙂
@robotbuilder know what you mean about building the robot. Hope you one day finally get to produce your Advanced robot, think of all the fun you'll have 👌. The wife has got me an Elegoo smart robot car kit V4. 0. Christmas will soon be on us so I haven't got too long to wait to build mine.
@redtara You might want to search the forum for the difficulties others have had with that kit. The most relevant will likely be the latest depending on when you got the kit.
Arduino says and I agree, in general, the const keyword is preferred for defining constants and should be used instead of #define
