Hello all, my name is Boyad. I've moved around a lot, but typically just tell people I'm from Utah.
I've been working in web development for 3.5 years and am currently in college for a degree in Software Engineering. Last year I got really into some ESP32 and DIY guitar pedal projects and started trying to learn more about electrical engineering ideas and theory. I've found working with microcontrollers extremely interesting. To the point I'm looking to try and pivot into embedded systems (any advice would be great!).
I've been in and around theater for a while, onstage and backstage. If you've never taken a look, there is an entire rabbit hole of lighting fixtures that can do some really fascinating things and Bill's videos on DMX are a great insight into how they communicate. I made great use of his videos to create some custom LED lighting fixtures for some musical theater productions. Currently I'm in a production of Shrek the Musical. I'm playing Lord Farquaad and doing the lighting design.
Not working on any projects at the moment, but I always enjoy seeing what other people are working on. Looking forward to having this resource if I encounter something that's beyond me.
