Hi everyone,
I'm Alain.
I live in Belgium (1st language = dutch).
I've been a system analyst and software developer for about 30 years.
Sadly, I was the only IT-er in the company and it was an insurance company. Thus, I wrote only in VB and created only administrative software for 30 years. Or in other words, not the most interesting job.
However, I always loved coding and now that i'm retired i'm looking for more interesting stuff. Bill video's are a real inspiration and i'm trowing myself at Arduino, Raspberry Pi, C, Python, ...

Welcome to the Forum.
30 years and only with Visual Basic sounds great to me. I started off with those dBase things, later Visual Basic but when I was at that, it was only version 5.x and 6.0. Must say, this Visual Basic changed how the codes were mostly written. Never got a chance to master the .net version of it, though. What database did you use? (Just curious to find out.)
I have spent most of my professional career as a Trainer. So had to keep abreast of many technologies and languages. Now I am more confined to Websites - PHP, WordPress and maintenance stuff.
I am sure you would find much of assistance (apart from the great learning videos) here.
