Hello Everyone,

My name is Roberto, i am italian, living in Napoli (south of Italy), I'm 62, and have worked since i was 20 in the electronic medical field as a service enginer. I started with diagnostic ultrasounds then i move to larger equipments for nuclear medicine (spect and pet scanners). Mainly i worked for Philips Medical Systems and Adac Laboratories (Californian very innovative nuclear medicine company). Between these two experiences i worked for 3 years in the audio recording industry working in a workd class  recording studio in Capri Island.

Now i am almost retired and during this pandemy term i spent all my time at home for safety due to my fragility ( i had s very bad infarct in 2013). Somehow for my interest about photography saw a project about a focusing stacking rail for macro photography so i decided to made one by myself. In one year i learnt to use Arduinos, Fusion 360, kikad, Nextion displays HMI and to use a 3d printer ( i bought a QIDI xmax) .

I learned a lot watching video on you tube, many people helped me a lot, and expecially DroneBot you tube channel was the solution for many of my little problems. Finally i decided to open myself to the world and to join this forum . I am sure it will be a right choice since i trust and apreciate so much Bill style and quality. I hope in future to be able to help and to be helped and to share our experiences.

Again Hello to Everybody from ITALY

Hi Roberto,

what a wonderful career you have had! When I think of Naples I think of the enthralling drama "Gommorah" . I dont normally watch long running series like that,  but it had a good  story and very authentic looking actors. Above all I loved the cinematography ..every scene was a portrait. I wished that I could speak Italian well enough to catch the subtleties of the dialogue.

You are very welcome.

Kindest regards

Mark

Hi Mark,

yes i dont watch normally tv series as well but Gomorra i watched.. it  was a very realistic story and was inspired by the best seller book of Roberto Saviano, a writer that due to his investigation received the promise to be killed by the camorra ( local mafia) for the revelations he made in his books. he still live under the police protection for more of 10 years....anyway even if you were talking italian you wouldn't understand so much, because for need of realism the actors mainly talk the neapolitan dialect and the slang of gangster..

Thanks for your welcome...best Regard

Roberto
