Thanks to your posts I was motivated to order a couple of nRF24L01's.

Unfortunately they didn't sell the nRF24L01 Adapter so I had to wire them directly. Also I used two Unos as I don't have the Nano. So I might think about getting a couple of Nanos. The nRF24L01's arrived today but looked different to the one's used by Bill. Two VCC and two GND pins. Not sure how far they will transmit. If useful I will have to get the antennae version.

I managed to get them working and sending the "hello world" message from one Uno to the other Uno and viewing the output using the Arduino's IDE's monitor.

So what you were saying about moving moving the motor controls. You think i should make them buf 4,5 and 6?

Honestly, right now I seem to be having more trouble with Chinese copies and cheap components. Partially SPI interface or programing upload integrity? I'm not sure at this time.

another thing I will note is that in a couple places I heard people talking about a delayed action like a few seconds in response to the joystick control of motors.: the 2 nano boards I'm using seem to be much more responsive than the unos i was using last week. Also I never did get them going again with Bill's baseline sketch i started with (seem to be having more trouble with Chinese copies and cheap components) inconsistent behavior,Esp. when trying different sketches that used different pins for CE and CSN.
