Hello everybody.
My name is Grahame, I live in the UK and am now retired. The latter part of my working life was spent testing software for scientific instruments. I've always been interested in science and technology, particularly physics and electronics.
I started playing with my first computer (a BBC Acorn) back in the early eighties. Now I spend much of my spare time 'tinkering' with Arduinos, rPis etc.
My last project was a model ship (Graupner Nordic) controlled using Arduinos and XBee radios. My homemade controller for this includes a 7" touchscreen TFT display showing the ship's orientation (from a Razer IMU), GPS position and environmental data in-real time in a Processing sketch running on a raspberry Pi built into the controller. I'm now looking forward to finding inspiration for my next 'project' on the Dronebot Workshop website.
