I'm just a hobbyist and tinkerer and well I like to blow electronic components up. I have a little bit of C coding (arduino) experience and I have just started to learn LINUX with the Raspberry pi. I'm trying to learn as much about electronics as I can.
Welcome aboard! I hope the blowing up part is by accident and you have been learning by experience. ?
Are you still young enough to be working or have you been able to join us old codgers in retirement?
Enjoy the Forum!

If you want to learn electronics I would start with simple electronic projects using discrete components. The Arduino and Raspberry Pi are complex circuits and learning to program (C or PYTHON) or use an operating system (LINUX) is not learning electronics as such. Make sure you understand from circuit examples how the electronic measurements, Resistance (ohms), Force (volts), Current (amps), Power (watts), Inductance (henry) and Capacitance (farads) relate to each other.
don,t worry about the blow up part it always happens by accident but come on it wouldn't be fun without a couple of oopsies also you still learn something in the end although I try not to make mistakes but I'm not afraid of making mistakes.
now I'm actually a little bit to young to work because I'm currently student but I have been doing electronics as a hobby for around 4 years now but I still want learn more about it.

Howdy cap-electronics!
You have come to the right place! WELCOME ABOARD!
Great Videos by Bill, presenter & teacher in dronebotworkshop.com , covering everything you are after... Owner of this website! 🙂 😀
Another source of beginner help is Paul McWhorter at toptechguy.com ... also a very good teacher...
I hope you have a very good time learning about all this good stuff! 🙂
Have Fun,

well thanks for the advice and I fully agree with you but I already know most of the basic rules and I have been building simple circuits with normal components for some time now but I try not to limit my expertise to just hardware and basic electronics that is why I'm learning LINUX and C code but you are absolutely right.
Ah yes I love Paul McWhorter he's a great teacher and a lot of the stuff I know about Arduino and Raspberry pi I learned from He's videos. I think Paul and Bill are the best on you tube regarding electronics and Iot but thanks a lot for the very kind advice I appreciate it and I'm sure I'l have lots of fun learning.
