It looks like you were fortunate enough to get your hands on a lot of technology when it was in its infancy.

Programming is still programming but it has gotten more complicated as you know. But the tools are better

and with the internet and AI problems can be solved much quicker.

@noweare Hallo Joe, thanks for your reply. I am still programming. As you wrote a lot easier nowadays but also more complex and integrated. I use Visual Studio most of the time for developing, SQL Server Management Studio for creating and mainting my databases and queries. Microsoft made great progress with their .NET environment trying to play par with Java from which MS was far behind. For web development I use Wordpress which improved a lot over the years. I build my own website. Curious see: distrian.com. However plain HTML is not unknown for me. And ofcourse for my Arduino ESP projects I use Arduino IDE. Unfortunately my great tech friend passed away with whom I shared developments. We stepped into the world of i.e. Python and Ollama (LLM laguage for AI) and so on. We were curious and still I am. So glad to be part of the Dronebot forum now to share and gather information on the electronics side of the game. I learn a lot from Bill's projects. It will take a long time for me to create projects by myself but for now I find enough pleasure to create Bill's projects which I really find wonderful explained. Could not be better for me.

@silvester It's good to have someone local to bounce things of if you have questions. Lots of good info in Bills videos. I am finishing a project that uses an esp32 and microphone.  Clients can log into the esp32 server and the server will stream audio to the client. Kind of like a remote baby monitor, lol.   Not very good at html and javascript but I have been using Claude AI to help that part of my project. It's pretty strange how AI is so that you can basically build a complex app if you know a little. Not like the old days, lol.

@noweare Indeed, with AI on our side live becomes easier when looking for solutions even if they are complex. But still it will be our brains that brings it to a good end! I wish you a lot of fun building interesting, meaningful and educational projects.
