I would like to introduce myself. I was a building contractor for over 33 years. I recently have become interested in electronics and coding. Im not very knowledgeable yet, at either! This looks like a good place to learn and share ideas. It’s great to see people helping other people without expecting anything in return. If you need any construction advice I’d be happy to help, but for now it looks like I’ll be asking the questions 🙂

Welcome aboard @bldrgy lot's of folks here from all sorts of backgrounds. I expect your building background will stand you in good stead, problem solving is much the same regardless of the stuff involved, it's all about procedure.

First computer 1959. Retired from my own computer company 2004.
Hardware - Expert in 1401, and 360, fairly knowledge in PC plus numerous MPU's and MCU's
Major Languages - Machine language, 360 Macro Assembler, Intel Assembler, PL/I and PL1, Pascal, Basic, C plus numerous job control and scripting languages.
Sure you can learn to be a programmer, it will take the same amount of time for me to learn to be a Doctor.

@bldrgy

I recently have become interested in electronics and coding.

Welcome to your new adventure.

The Arduino projects are a good way to start learning both together.

@bldrgy

Welcome @bldrgy to the forum.

The forum has a broad membership from the novice to the very experienced so I am sure that whatever your interests and whatever you want to know you will find a member (or many) ready to help.

The forum is a sound 'foundation' (pun intended) for anyone with electronics/ programming /etc interests.
