Thank you, Bill, for accepting my request to join the forum. I'm not sure how much I'll be able to contribute but looking forward to sharing knowledge nonetheless.
Hello everyone, my name is Bryon and I live in Austin, TX. My day-to-day is working at a company that develops medical diagnostic instruments that are used all over the world.
Home life interests are home automation and building fun projects involving machining, 3d printing and electronics. Past projects included automatic plant watering, auto window blinds, wifi enabled gate switches, multi-room temperature logging, CNC router build. More recently however, my son and I built a full size claw machine game with LEDs, coin slot, fingerprint recognition and sound etc.
Currently, my pet project is a cocktail robot that has three rotating carousels that hold 6 bottles each, custom I2C FET output boards that control 14 pumps and valves that provide various juices and mixers from a refrigerator in the base. A ball screw provides linear motion for the cocktail glass to find its way under each bottle and mixer nozzle. All is controlled by a custom Android app connecting via bluetooth to a ATMega dev board on the machine. Lots of fun!
I'm looking forward to meeting y'all!
