Greeting from the Dairy State (Wisconsin)!

i am just getting started with devices such as the Raspberry Pi and Arduino but have been developing software for my entire career.  I have really enjoyed learning the basics of the electronics that can be controlled by these types of devices.

My latest project was an Arduino-based setup that controlled my camera, flash, and a valve that dropped water based on delays entered from my Android phone app.  The objective was to capture a photo of two water drops colliding and I was moderately successful.

I am looking forward to picking up all sorts of great tidbits of knowledge from the forum and will strive to lend whatever I can.
