Gday folks.

I've been having fun with ESP devices and wifi control of servo motors, lights, light sensors, current sensors and other gadgets to service my model railway hobby. I enjoy learning new stuff and helping introduce products of the technology to others who may just want to make use of the technology without wanting to know the technology itself.

I have found Bill's videos to be excellent and very helpful. He does a superb job of explaining things in simple terms, making it much easier to understand a complex or mysterious device of process. Even simple things can be a mystery until you learn about them and Bill's a great teacher. Thank you, Bill.

My first programming was with Fortran at University in the 1970s, in the era of punched cards and paper tape. I've been programming in some form ever since using mainframes, mini computers, micro computers and now microprocessors. I've used several programming languages over the years but C++ and Javascript are still fairly new to me. Several years back, I dipped my toe into Java and quickly retreated.

Whilst I have a reasonable conceptual understanding of much of but not all of the hardware, I'm a novice with the practical implementation and that's what has led me to here.

Kind regards,
David.
