My name is Maula Sefu. I’m here to learn and to contribute. I’m starting a training centre, and my aim is to build courses that are simple and accessible to anyone. What I learn here will eventually be passed on to the less privileged. I’ve set a 50-day milestone for myself, and I’m serious about seeing it through.

Hi Maula!

Let me ask a few questions to see if I can help you reach your goal.

What is the milestone you have in mind?

50 days is 7 weeks. How much time per week can you devote to the task?

What resources do you have? That is, do you the resources you need to reach the goal?

Hi,

its is a great idea and a nice try to pass the information to the others. May I know your milestone and the progress till now?

@tfmccarthy thank you for the warm welcome. It really helps to know I’m not doing this in isolation.

The milestone I’m working toward is a trainer programI’ve been developing, with help from Chat-GPT, to give me a clear way of approaching both learning and teaching.

The 50 days over 7 weeks is the timeframe I’ve set for this milestone. I’m committing about 3 hours a day, one hour in the morning and two in the evening.

In terms of resources, I currently have MicroBitand ESP32 kits with basic components like resistors, diodes, batteries, and tools such as a multimeter and a rechargeable screwdriver with multiple bits. I’ve also invested in an office space that I plan to use later as a training environment for others.

That’s the core of what I’m working with at the moment. again thank you very much

@oliver2003 Hi, thanks. As of today I’m on day 5. I’ve learned the basics of electricity, can identify common components, and take measurements of voltage, current, and resistance. I’ve also created a guide that I’m actively following to track my progress.

@sefumaula

This is impressive. And ambitious.

I'm still going through the syllabus, but the first impression is this is a lot of work you've got in front of you. Essentially one or two projects a day. All doable but an extended effort. You got your hands full, I'd say.
