Hello,

I am an Australian previously living Melbourne, but for the last 3 years I have been living and working in Hong Kong.

My electronics journey started as a teenager, learning to do through-hole soldering with many electronics kits.  University maths and circuit analysis was too confusing, so I focused on Computer Science instead.

I have a degree in Computer Science and a Masters in Information Systems Security (Digital Forensics) and 20+ years experience in the IT industry.

I like to make stuff, woodwork, metal work, 3D printing, but I have no room for a workshop in Hong Kong, so I focus on two hobbies; Game Programming (I recently published my first game) and electronics, mostly experimenting with sensors with the intent to build semi-autonomous robots.

You might think being close to China parts bought through AliExpress would arrive faster, sadly this isn't true, it still takes 3+ weeks for anything to arrive.

Internet is really fast in Hong Kong, so I watch a lot more YouTube than I did in Australia!

Cheers,
Roger.
