ARDUINO NOVICE

Hi Everyone, my name is Johan. I'm from South Africa. Two of my hobbies are aquaponics and growing mushrooms. I needed a pump controler for the aquaponics and found a small circut to do just that at a electronics hobby store. Then I asked them about controlling the CO2 content in the mushroom growing environment and they introduced me to Arduino. Although I have a scientific background, I'm a total novice as far as electronics are concerned. What caught my attension was the ability to use arduino to write programs to control what ever I need to control in the growing environment.
