You will probably notice the forum is a bit sluggish today, believe it or not this has nothing to do with the recent update!
The main website, dronebotworkshop[dot]com is currently under attack, and the CPU usage on the server is at 100 percent. Unfortunately, the forum and website share the same server (a Digital Ocean VPS cloud server in Toronto, if you're interested).
This actually started at about 18:25 UTC, but I only became aware of it this morning when I read the email from my monitoring service.
At the moment I'll keep the forum up and running, and you shouldn't have to worry about losing any data, as the server is backed up automatically 6 times a day (and I'll probably be doing some manual ones today as well).
If necessary I may have to block access to the forum later today, I'll try to give you some warning if possible.
Please continue to add to the Forum Update thread if you find any other issues, although keep in mind the server is not behaving as it should right now.
Also, many of the issues we are seeing can be resolved by clearing your browser cache. The new forum software has converted many existing sections to use AJAX, and your cache may be holding old values.
And you'll have to understand if I don't respond immediately to any posts or emails as I'm a bit busy now LOL. And once again there will be a Sunday without a video, although this has more to do with the Adafruit Neopixel library than it does with the website issues!

FYI: Not really noticing anything on my end...
@frogandtoad Actually I really don't either, but according to the stats we are at 97 percent CPU (it isn't supposed to go over 80, except for brief periods).
You’re in Australia, correct? I would have thought folks in your neck of the woods would be getting the poorest performance, so it's good to hear it's working for you. I'm only 500Km from the server, you are about 15,000 Km further!
Thanks for the report.

Yes, I'm in Australia, and usually suffer performance wise!!
Interestingly however... I also use a VPN service for added security, which is normally sluggish, but not so bad at the moment 😉
Go figure?
The issue is now resolved, so speed should be back to normal. If anything looks "off" please try refreshing your browser cache (CTRL-F5 on Windows & Linux, CMD-Shift-R on Mac for most browsers) and try again.
Thanks!
