EDIT: I was looking at the wrong Library dir.

This is a MAC M1 issue, probably not relevant to WinTel or *nix.

All of a sudden I am getting the following error on almost any example code.

exec: "python": executable file not found in $PATH
Error compiling for board DOIT ESP32 DEVKIT V1.

Tried several boards all the same even the ESP32-CAM board that I built last week with no issues.

I did an echo $PATH and I can't even find the 2nd directory in the path "Frameworks". I downloaded and installed 3.10, I was previously at 3.09.

/Library/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/3.10/bin

I did a search from the top of the disk and nothing matches.

I had a major failure with an update to my browser this AM and used Time Machine to bring back the old version, other than that I am mystified. It is the 2nd time this 15 month old Mac Air with an SSD either for sure or now I suspect has lost files. I guess I need to check Time Machine again.

Anyone else have any ideas, I am dead in the water at this point.
