I hope this is the paste to create a new post. I don't see the button to create a Topic described in the video.

I am working on my ATX based power supply and need to drill or punch holes in the panel for my fuse folders. The fuse holder hole needs to be close to 1/2", but is flat on opposite sides.

Can I get a hole punch to create a hole with the flats? Or should I just settle for round holes.

Thanks!

@magneto To ask a video-related question, go to the Videos by year set of forums. In this case, a search on Bill's YT channel tells us it was Feb 2019. Open that and go to the end to add your question. Here is a direct link to the sub-forum, but it's better if you learn to navigate yourself. LINK

BTW, the answer to your question is they make those 'keyed' metal punches. Still, if you have a round punch and don't want to spend the money on a new 'keyed' punch, then the round will work, you just need to be careful when tightening the fuse holders up, so they don't spin around possibly breaking wires.

Found a link for a D-shaped hole here LINK  mucho dinero, about $350 to $550

@zander Wow! Thanks! I think I'll just drill a 1/2" hole. 😀
