By sheer luck I stumbled in to watch the landing of the perseverance rover yesterday.
It was an amazing feat of technology. The landing sequence with artificial intelligence selecting the landing spot, a carrier drone gently lowering the rover onto the surface.. it seemed more the stuff of comic books than reality.
But what really made the day was the nail biting at mission control and the excitement, jubilation, and applause on landing.
In the midst of a crazy world, we all needed a win and NASA came through like the champ it is.
High five congratulations to everyone involved with this it truly was amazing.
