Where does everyone shop for their components. If I am looking for a specific itemitem, amazon works, but if I want to just look around for what's available?

Hi @sj_h1,

Ron @zander has included my usual suspects, but you will notice they are all (excepting 'local shops', which are non existent in my part of the world) largely in the 'bargain basement' category.

Clearly, it depends upon what you wish to buy.

The largest countries (USA/Canada) obviously have a significant number of national companies, which are useful if you are in that country.

International component distributors including Mouser, Digi-Key, Farnell/Element 14 and RS Components may be more appropriate for other requirements, but expect to need to meet a minimum order value (or a high postage charge that means the bill will be about the same).

Best wishes, Dave
