Now this is interesting. Could an ESP Mesh network replace I2C ?

Would you want to ?

Even if it can't replace I2C, it still seems a reasonable thing to play with... for one reason or another, withΒ  boredom being relatively high on the list of reasons to do just about anything, even if it's unreasonable

But, even better, it also has a battery powered ping pong ball that I'm really sorry I didn't develop myself

I've been playing around with ESP32 a lot lately.Β  Fun little controllers to play with but I missed the ping pong ball.Β  Gotta check that out. πŸ™‚
