Breadboard Connectors - Dupont style male/female at BOTH ends

You are completely correct.  I will take your advice, just standard parts, cut to proper length, solder, heatshrink and be done.  This is me telling you that you have 'solved' my problem completely.  While I was hoping to  find a solution to the connector  ends, your solution offers custom lengths at both ends of the cable.  I guess this is what I did anyway.  Thank you.  If you can, what software/app did you use  to prepare the sketch?

I drew them up using an antique version of PC Paint from Windows 7.   I didn't like the newer versions of PC paint so I kept a copy of the old version of paint.exe.   It's a simple program but works well for a quick sketch of something simple.   Just remember to save it as a GIF, or PNG instead of a BMP which would be an unnecessarily large file size.
