After following Bill's procedure in building a developer machine, I used it to try to upload a sketch to an ESP32 board. The process works fine on a Windows 10 machine, if I hold down the Boot button on the ESP32 board. However, on the Linux machine, as soon as the monitor says connecting it drops into a bunch of what appears to be Python errors. I have tried just holding down the boot loader button but to no avail.
Has anyone else run into this problem? If so, and were able to work around it, how?
Otherwise, any advice?
