Hi. I just bought a relay module, and I'm not too sure about the JD-VCC GND in relation to VCC GND. If I'm using a separate power supply for JD-VCC, do I have to connect the two GNDs? Or do I even need the VCC GND at all?

Post specs or a link so we can look up the answer.

First computer 1959. Retired from my own computer company 2004.

Major Languages - Machine language, 360 Macro Assembler, Intel Assembler, PL/I and PL1, Pascal, Basic, C plus numerous job control and scripting languages.

Usually, the inputs and outputs of a relay are isolated. But impossible to tell without more information or at least a picture.

Current projects:
- Modding my Gameboy Advance SP
- Turning Dalek into robot
Finished projects:
- Talking plant monitor (ESP8266)
- Mail box monitor (ESP8266-01S)
Other devices:
- Raspberry Pi 4B 4GB running Home Assistant
