Adafruit and Sparkfun are also due to release their RP2040-based boards soon, which is great news as both of them are famous for their excellent documentation.

I think the REAL big news in the Arduino announcement is their plan to port the Arduino Core to the RP2040. This will give us access to the vast number of code samples and libraries made for the Arduino.
