Nano vs 9V Battery

Folks,

Can I power my Nano off of a 9V battery?  If so, would I connect the negative side of the battery to GND on the Nano?  And then would I connect the positive side of the battery to VIN?  If this is not the case, please let me know.

Sure, that should work.  I think you'll find it convenient to have some way to turn it on and off

Yes, according to vin specifications, 9V should be fine:
