You don't need ohms law. If a project of interest to you comes along that uses a logic gate you will have no trouble understanding what it does.

It is Digital Electronics, and Boolean Algebra is used to determine inputs and outputs.  You'll find these topics under a number of different subject courses from Computer Science to Architecture, Electronics etc...
