Hi all,

Thank you for this email and videos - they are quite informative.

I downloaded the new Arduino IDE but I'm reluctant to install it because I'm worried that all the add ons I installed will have to be redone and I don't remember how to do all of them. When you installed yours how many things got broken?

Please let me know your thoughts on this.

Thank you and have a happy New Year!

Mike

@mike650

Why not buy an inexpensive external hard drive, clone your existing computer onto it, boot from the external and test out 2.0. If there's no conflict that you can find, then install it on your main computer and drive on. If it doesn't behave well, then wait for the initial release of the software.

Worst case is that you wind up with a backup disk, which you should have anyway 🙂

Anything seems possible when you don't know what you're talking about.

This sounds like a perfect job a virtual machine! I use VMware and it is very intuitive (after some YouTube vids)
