<p>I think that the ESP32 you are referring to is the <a href="https://www.makerfabs.com/esp32-uwb-ultra-wideband.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Makerfabs ESP32 UWB</a>, as it's the only one I'm aware of - if you know of a different module, please let me know.</p>
<p>I’ve been intending to pick up a few of these, I was hesitant as the only sources used to be Tindie and Makerfabs themselves, but I see that RobotShop has them now (although in Canada they are out of stock, with new ones arriving in late November).</p>
<p>So I certainly will accept this suggestion!</p>

<p>There was a very long thread recently about local positioning using LIDAR and another device I don't recall. It would be interesting to hear how this UWB would fit in unless of course I am completely misunderstanding what your first post is talking about.
