They are due for delivery at the end of August. I'm already laying out the animations for the video. 

And the very best news is that my Mother has returned home; she was released from the hospital on Monday! So now that she is back, we can establish a schedule (actually, we already have), and I can start recording again.

So this is definitely an approved suggestion, as I'm already on it!

There was a small building where all the old SMS cards (the size of a playing card with discrete components) were sent. A single box was about 4' x 4' x 2.5 ft tall. In this building was a homemade machine that snapped the connectors off the end of the cards. That end contained a significant amount of gold. The cards were sold in bulk to hobby stores and then sold to hobbyists to de-solder the transistors, caps, and resistors for their use. The next generation was SLT and did not have anywhere near as much gold; I don't know if there was any attempt to reclaim those.

I dread to think of how many 'surplus' boards and the like we all now hoard.  @dronebot-workshop probably has a room full, and I've got a veritable box full of stuff I just know I will now not get to use anymore.  Old pi's out new pi's in. (as for arduino's just out... duck for cover)

A short while back I did look to see if there was a local computer club of some sort around where I live see if any donations may be welcomed, but nowt turned up.   But I saw a news item when the Royal Mint is apparently melting down old computer boards to extract the minute valuable metals found in the boards such as a bit of gold plating etc.   In the meanwhile continue hoarding 😎

I like the hw floating point and the extra memory and I have ordered one, but I will wait for the WiFi version to materialise before grabbing a fistful.  You must have a bunch of projects in mind 😀
