LOL, yes... the Boolean algebra looks correct, but have you worked out it's function? 🙂

Looks to me like it says "If nothing is right, nothing happens"

I should probably be the resident expert on that subject

Sorry for the delay... wasn't feeling the greatest lately.

Here is the whole truth, and nothing but the truth 🙂

Truth Table for Comparator

It is of course known as a: Comparator

It's job it to compare the input signals, to determine whether the value of the first input is greater than, smaller than or equal to the second input.

OK, @frogandtoad,

what is this and how does it work?

my invention

Here are two tips.

  1. The elevation difference between tanks is approximately 10m.
  2. This only works approximately every 12 hours and 20 minutes.

And on what physical principle does it function?

LOL... how long is a piece of string? 😀

Ok, not much info there, so don't really know because the 20 min's is throwing me off!
As for the physical principle, is it based on a: "Gravity Water Ram Pump?"

I will put you out of your misery! ?

I call it a Moon Pump. ?

The Severn Estuary, St. Lawrence Seaway and St. Malo in France, have some of the highest tides in the world, well in excess of 10m. So every Moon transit the water is drawn over 10m toward the Moon, but this also occurs on the other side of the planet away from the Moon. The apparent position of the Moon is the same every 24 hours and 40 minutes, hence 12 hours and 20 minute periods.

The water is drawn up over 10m from each tank to the one above, therefore causing the water to flow upwards. Simple physics! ? ? ? ? ?

You landlubbers probably won't understand ?
